48 Hours in San Francisco

San Francisco doesn’t introduce itself - it invites. Here's how to get the best out of the city in one weekend.

Saturday: Coffee, Parks & Bay Views

Kick things off at Tartine Bakery with a good coffee and some pastries (because, duh).

Around lunchtime, hit up the Ferry Building Marketplace for some tasty bites and a bit of fresh air. While you are there check out "R-Evolution," a 45-foot steel mesh statue of a woman, created by artist Marco Cochrane. After you’ve filled up, take the ferry to Alcatraz Island - it’s spooky, cool, and definitely worth a visit. Just don’t forget to book your tickets early.

Later, catch the sunset at Crissy Field or Baker Beach with killer views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Seriously, it’s magic.

Saturday Night: Food & Fun

For dinner, head to North Beach or Market Street and grab a table at Zuni Café if you can (their roast chicken is legendary). If you’re not feeling fancy, head to Trick Dog in the Mission for a creative cocktail in a fun, laid-back atmosphere. It's a local favorite for a reason.

Sunday: Sleep In, Markets & Chill Time

Sleep in, you deserve it. Then grab pastries from Arsicault Bakery. Take a leisurely walk with your pastry in hand while the city wakes up.

Later, check out the Fort Mason Farmers Market for fresh goodies and a bit of local flavor. Perfect for picking up something fun or just soaking up the weekend buzz.

Wrap up your weekend in Golden Gate Park, whether you want to visit the de Young Museum, the Japanese Tea Garden, or just chill on the grass and relax.

48 hours won’t show you everything, but it’ll leave you wanting more.
