Room Power: To activate the power in your room, insert your key card into the slot between the bathroom door and the toilet door.

Key Card Warning: Please ensure you keep your magnetic room key card separate from your mobile phone as the magnet in your phone can easily wipe the key card. Should this happen, simply come to the Front Desk, and we will gladly recut your key card.

• Do Not Disturb (DND) Sign: DND signs are available on the inside of your door. Please display the sign outside your door until 3 PM.

• Housekeeping Service:

  • If you remove the sign after 3 PM, housekeeping will not attend to your room on that day.

  • Should you require your room to be serviced, please remove the Do Not Disturb sign BEFORE 3 PM.

• Linen Change Schedule:

  • Short Stay Members: Linen change and room clean after every 3rd night. Daily freshen up provided.

  • Long Stay Members: Linen change once a week.

• Extra Towels: Extra towels can be requested. Please contact the Front Desk or send a WhatsApp message.

• The Good Neighbour Café: Open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch, & dinner. Closed on Sundays from 3 PM.

• Breakfast Service: Breakfast will be served in the Café from 7:30 AM daily for guests who booked B&B.

• Communal Areas:

  • Workspace: Available in the lobby.

  • Members Lounge and Dining Room: Available for free use by both guests and members.

  • Communal Kitchen, Dining Area, and Member's Lounge: Located on the Ground Floor.

  • Kitchen Etiquette: Please be a GOOD NEIGHBOUR and clean up after yourself.

  • Expired Foodstuffs: Old/expired foodstuffs not locked away will be discarded at Management's discretion.

Swimming Pool: Located on-site, situated outside on the restaurant side of the building at the end of the terrace.

Pool Use Note: Please make use of your own towels – not the bedroom towels. No glass allowed at the pool area.

Gym: Situated on the basement level.

Parking: Ample basement parking is available, with lift access to the Ground Floor.

Parking Restriction: Please do not park in bays that have been reserved (look out for signage demarcating company names).

Smart TV: Your room has a Smart TV. There are no pre-programed channels. Please log in with your own Netflix/ShowMax/Disney app credentials.

Self-Service Laundry: We have self-dosing washing machines and dryers on-site, situated through the end door of the members area on the ground floor.

Cost: Each wash and dry costs R45.00 per load.

Payment: Payment can be made via the Snapscan app.

Alternative Option: You can take your laundry across the road to Newlands Peak Laundry and pay them directly, as we cannot charge this to your room.

Local Shops Short-Cut: There is a short-cut via the back gate that leads to the corner of Campground Rd & Main Rd, where you'll find your local Pick 'n Pay store, a Clicks Pharmacy and other shops opposite you, or to the right the Engen Garage that has a Woolworths and Steers.

Staff Communication: We have 5 full-time staff members that are partially or completely deaf. Should you engage with them, and they do not respond, please use written or typed communication or approach the Front Desk for assistance.

Loadshedding Generator: A generator is installed and will operate during loadshedding. It will power the communal kitchen ovens, half the microwaves, and our hot water system, but not the individual rooms.

Loadshedding Warning: Please refrain from using the elevator 5 minutes before and after the next loadshedding time period. We have a notice outside each pair of lifts advising members of the next loadshedding time period.
