Neighbourgood 84 Harrington is a non-smoking aparthotel. Smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property. This includes cigarettes, shisha/hookah/hubbly, marijuana, vapes, or e-cigarettes.
Smoking on the premises will result in a R3,000 fine.
Be mindful of noise at all times. Our quiet hours are 22h00 to 07h00.
Illegal materials, substances, or activities are not permitted.
Accidents happen! Make sure you report any breakages to the team. Only damage due to negligent behaviour will result in a claim for repairs/replacement.

In the unlikely event of an emergency, please remain calm and follow the instructions provided by Neighbourgood staff or emergency responders.
Emergency evacuation plans are displayed throughout the property and indicate the nearest emergency exits and assembly points. Guests are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the nearest emergency exit route upon arrival.
Should an evacuation be required, leave the building immediately using the nearest safe exit and proceed directly to the designated assembly point. Do not use lifts during an evacuation unless specifically instructed to do so by emergency personnel.
Once at the assembly point, remain there until advised that it is safe to return to the building.

Fire safety is a shared responsibility, and all guests are requested to assist in maintaining a safe environment throughout the property.
Should you discover a fire or signs of smoke, immediately notify reception or a member of staff and activate the nearest fire alarm point where available. If it is safe to do so, leave the area immediately and proceed to the designated assembly point.
Fire-fighting equipment is provided throughout the property for emergency use.
Guests should only attempt to use fire-fighting equipment if they have received appropriate training and can do so without placing themselves at risk.
Your personal safety should always take priority over property.

Neighbourgood maintains a strict no-smoking policy within all guest rooms, apartments, communal indoor spaces, corridors, stairwells, and other designated non-smoking areas.
This policy applies to all tobacco products, electronic cigarettes, vaping devices, and similar smoking Products.
Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas where provided. Guests who smoke within rooms or other prohibited areas may be liable for additional cleaning costs, damage repairs, or penalties in accordance with the terms and conditions of their stay.
The activation of smoke detection devices due to smoking may also result in emergency response procedures being initiated.

For your safety, please use electrical appliances responsibly.
Guests should avoid overloading electrical outlets, using damaged chargers, or leaving appliances unattended while in operation. Any damaged plugs, exposed wiring, faulty appliances, or electrical concerns should be reported to reception immediately.
Personal heating devices, gas appliances, open-flame cooking equipment, and other unauthorised electrical equipment may not be used within guest accommodation.

Where self-catering facilities are provided, guests are requested to use all cooking appliances responsibly and never leave cooking unattended.
Stovetops, ovens, kettles, and other appliances should be switched off after use, and flammable materials should be kept away from heat sources. Food should be stored appropriately and waste disposed of regularly to maintain hygiene standards and prevent pest activity.
Any faulty appliance, damaged equipment, electrical concern, or suspected gas leak should be reported to reception immediately.

Neighbourgood strives to provide a safe and secure environment for all guests. However, guests are encouraged to take reasonable precautions to safeguard their personal belongings.
Room doors and windows should remain locked whenever accommodation is unattended. Valuable items should not be left visible in rooms, vehicles, or communal areas. Where an in-room safe is provided, guests are strongly encouraged to make use of it for the storage of passports, cash, jewellery, electronic devices, and other valuable items.
If you observe suspicious behaviour, unauthorised persons, or security concerns, please notify reception or management immediately.
For your safety, do not permit unknown individuals access to accommodation areas or secure access points.

Guests are requested to use balconies, terraces, swimming pool facilities, and external areas responsibly and in accordance with all safety signage and instructions.
Sitting, climbing, leaning over railings, accessing roofs, entering restricted maintenance areas, or engaging in unsafe behaviour around the swimming pool is strictly prohibited.
Children using balconies, swimming pools, and external areas must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. No lifeguards are provided unless specifically stated by the property, and guests make use of swimming pool facilities at their own risk.
Guests are reminded that wet surfaces around swimming pools may become slippery and appropriate caution should be exercised at all times.

Guests are expected to conduct themselves in a responsible manner that does not endanger themselves or others.
The possession, use, manufacture, or distribution of illegal substances is strictly prohibited on all Neighbourgood properties.
Behaviour that compromises the safety, comfort, or wellbeing of other guests, staff members, contractors, or visitors may result in removal from the property and, where applicable, notification of the relevant authorities.

If you or another guest experiences a medical emergency, immediately contact reception or emergency services.
Where possible, provide clear information regarding the nature of the emergency, the location of the individual requiring assistance, and any known medical conditions.
Qualified emergency responders should be allowed unrestricted access to the affected area.

To assist us in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment, guests are encouraged to report any maintenance defects or safety concerns as soon as they are identified.
This may include water leaks, damaged furniture, broken locks, defective lighting, faulty appliances, loose flooring, blocked exits, or any other condition that may present a safety risk.
Early reporting allows corrective action to be taken promptly and helps prevent accidents or inconvenience.
